Topography & Rivers

  • The Hamrapur village is divided in to three parts on the basis of its Topography.
  • The east – hilly area ( Bendyachi Dongri Ranges) with slopes and mainly forest area.
  • The central region – plain area – covering mostly paddy fields. In the west region

     (a) Two rivers Vaitarna & Deharje joining(sangam) at Hamarapur Village.

     (b) Plain area of the river banks – fertile soil – mainly horticulture cultivation is practiced and high quality fodder is produced.

     (c) Vegetable cultivation is practiced in north-west and western part.

  • Soil – The soil of Hamrapur village is laterite soil and brownish black. The laterite soil generally found in patches on slopes of hilly region (Bendyachi Dongri Ranges) and brownish black soil mostly found in plain areas.
  • Rainfall- Hamrapur gets assured rainfall near about – 2500 to 3500 mm.
